The artist

Visual artist and holder of M.A. in museum studies [1984]. In her work, she investigates the female realm by means of exploring archetypes that relate to female body featured in art. The artist also explores issues related to the effects of time on the human body and on bodily memory, while conducting discussions from an autobiographical viewpoint. Esteves works with photography, printmaking, sculptural objects, and performance. She has held 13 solo exhibitions and shown in more than 50 group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad.

Since 1981, museologist in charge of the Lasar Segall Photo Archives at Museu Lasar Segall, IPHAN/MinC, in São Paulo.
